Gosport police arrest teenager, 17, after finding cannabis and £10,000 in cash

A TEENAGER has been arrested after police found a large amount of cannabis and £10,000 in cash.

Officers stopped the 17-year-old in Fell Drive, Lee-on-the-Solent, at 2.46pm on Tuesday.

He was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class B drug.

Officers then proceeded to search his home in Lee-on-the-Solent.

Police uncovered more than £10,000 in cash and a large bag of cannabis. No other arrests were made.

The Twitter account for Fareham police tweeted: ‘(The arrest) followed great work by Gosport NPT officers, as well as our Fareham NPT and HHT colleagues.’

The boy has since been released under investigation.
