Gosport police seize £2,000 of suspected cocaine and arrest two people during raid in Ensign Drive

POLICE have seized suspected Class A drugs and arrested a man and woman during a raid on a Gosport home.

Officers from three teams across Gosport and Fareham, alongside police dog unit, carried out a warrant at a property in Ensign Drive at 2pm yesterday.

More than £2,000 of a substance believed to be cocaine, almost £3,000 cash, and several mobile phones were seized by police.

A man and a woman in their 30s, both from Gosport, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

They have been released from custody but remain under investigation.

Police are calling for the public to report any suspicious behaviour in their area, including strangers frequently visiting an address, drug paraphernalia found nearby, and anxious behaviour from occupants, according to a spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary.

He said: ‘We are committed to dismantling drugs networks in our neighbourhoods, and protecting vulnerable people who are exploited by gangs and are subject to violence, fear and intimidation.

‘If you spot any of these signs you can speak to local police on 101 or call 999 in an emergency.’
