A THIEF caught stealing while out of prison on licence has been sent back to jail.

Andrew Bishop, 39, of Williams Close, Gosport, admitted stealing £24 of chicken from a Co-op in Gosport.

He pleaded guilty to having class B cannabis on him in Fareham and committing the crimes before he had finished serving a 56-day jail sentence.

Bishop was jailed for six days by Portsmouth magistrates.

The drugs will be destroyed.
