A THIEF caught stealing again while out of prison on licence has been sent back to jail.

Daniel Casey, who has 97 previous theft convictions, pleaded guilty to stealing cheese and milk from a Co-op in Gosport.

Casey also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody and a separate charge of stealing chicken, bacon and cheese from a Gosport Co-op.

The 33-year-old, of Northway, Gosport, who has also has four convictions for failing to surrender, was sentenced to 127 days in prison by Portsmouth magistrates.
