A SHOPLIFTER has been given a conditional discharge.

Christina Hartstean admitted stealing a perfume set and toothpaste worth £36.04 from Boots in Gosport High Street on January 17.

The 47-year-old, of Tukes Avenue, Gosport, also pleaded guilty to stealing £73.96 worth of clothes from New Look and a handbag worth £69.99 from Clarks, both in Gosport High Street, on the same day.

Hartstean was given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 in court costs by Fareham magistrates.
