MAGISTRATES have fined a man who stole a bottle of hair dye.

Unemployed Gary Brushwood stole the L’Oreal hair dye from Superdrug in Waterlooville, on September 26.

The 42-year-old, of Thrush Walk, Waterlooville, pleaded guilty to theft when he appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

At the time of the theft he was the subject of a conditional discharge for a previous offence of criminal damage.

Brushwood was fined £90 and ordered to pay £100 in costs.

The magistrates ruled that the money will be automatically taken out of his benefits.
