HAM thief Artur Alpejevs has been fined £45.

The 25-year-old of Collingwood Road, Southsea, took seven packets of ham worth £12.25 from a Co-op in Southsea on February 6.

Portsmouth magistrates ordered him to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

He admitted one count of theft at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on March 24.
