MOTORIST Callum Seward has been banned from getting behind the wheel.

Seward pleaded guilty to driving a BMW after drinking too much alcohol in Southampton Road, Titchfield.

A test revealed the 22-year-old’s breath contained 51 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 35mg.

Seward, from Chadwick Way, Hamble, was fined £375 by Fareham magistrates.

He was ordered to pay £85 in court costs and £15 to a fund for victims of crime.

He was banned from driving for a year. The ban could be reduced by three months if Seward completes a government-approved driving course by March 22 next year.

He must pay up to £250 to take part.
