POLICE have released the name of a woman who died after her car crashed into a wall.

Helen Morton, 36, from Rowan Road, Havant, lost control of her black Ford Fiesta just after 9.15pm on Friday.

It left the road and hit a garden wall in Southleigh Road, Havant, causing Ms Morton fatal injuries.

Passers-by tried to help her, including passing off-duty nurses and a doctor.

She was taken to Southampton General Hospital, but died on Saturday morning.

Flowers have been left at the spot where the accident happened, as reported in The News yesterday.

Police have issued a witness appeal to try to piece together how the accident happened.
