A DRINK-DRIVER caught behind the wheel of a stolen car has been jailed.

Glen Galmoye admitted taking a Ford Mondeo without consent from Sharps Road, Havant.

He pleaded guilty to driving the car while disqualified after drinking too much.

A test revealed the 26-year-old’s breath contained 78 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

That is more than twice the legal limit of 35mcg of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

Galmoye, from Sharps Road, Havant, admitted committing the crimes while subject to a suspended sentence.

He was sentenced to 84 days in jail by Portsmouth magistrates.

Galmoye was banned from driving for 12 months.

The ban could be reduced by three months.

However first Galmoye must pay up to £250 to take part in a government-approved driving course.

He pleaded guilty to a charge of driving the car without insurance.

However magistrates imposed no separate penalty.
