A MAN was caught driving while three times the legal alcohol limit.

Jason Hodges pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Ka in New Cut, Hayling Island, after drinking too much.

A test revealed the 41-year-old’s breath contained 118 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mg.

Hodges, from East Street, Havant, was fined £250 and told to pay £15 to a fund for crime victims.

He must also pay £55 in court costs.

Hodges was banned from driving for two years.

The ban could be reduced by six months.

But he must first pay up to £250 and complete a government-approved driving course by November 11 next year.
