A MAN who pocketed thousands of pounds from a charity cycle ride has pleaded guilty in court.

Paul Fisher, 66, of Southleigh Grove, Hayling Island, committed the £31,003 fraud from September 2011 until July 2012. At the time he was the treasurer of the Hayling Island Cycle Ride Charity.

The case was adjourned at Portsmouth Crown Court for pre-sentence reports. Fisher was released on unconditional bail and will reappear on Friday, August 9.
