A DRINK-DRIVER was caught behind the wheel while more than twice the legal alcohol limit.

Daniel Redman pleaded guilty to driving a BMW in Broad Street, Old Portsmouth, after drinking too much on April 10.

A test revealed his breath contained 78 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres.

The legal limit is 35mg.

The 29-year-old, from Mengham Avenue, Hayling Island, was fined £350 and banned from driving for 18 months by Portsmouth magistrates.

Redman was also told to pay £15 into a fund for victims of crime and £85 in court costs.
