A test revealed Desmond’s breath contained 72 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mg.

Desmond, 47, from Havant Road, Hayling Island, was fined £900 and told to pay £15 to crime victims and £200 costs by Fareham magistrates.
