DRINK-DRIVER Gareth Parker has been banned from the roads.

The 27-year-old, of St John’s Close, Hayling Island, admitted driving a Ford Focus in London Road, Horndean, after drinking too much.

A test revealed his breath contained 49 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mg.

Parker also admitted driving the car without a valid licence and failing to answer bail.

He was told to pay £240 in a fine and costs by Portsmouth magistrates.

He was banned from driving for year.
