Natasha spoke of the events leading up to Mr Sibley being shot in the attack in Athena Avenue, Crookhorn, on February 13 last year around 1am near the block of flats where they were staying with James’ friend Richard Stanhope.

Natasha explained that a drug dealer from London who went by the name ‘K’ was also staying at Richard’s flat.

She said: ‘K would get a phone call and then Richie goes and meets them with the drugs and K pays him.’

During a job that evening Natasha told police officers on video that Richard had been robbed of the drugs during a drop off.

She said: ‘I turned round and said you can’t be running, you are going to have to stop.’

Ms Chamberlain continued: ‘They got another call from a girl called Sara Hodgkinson . James picked up a metal pole and went out with him (Richard).’

The court heard Natasha explain the phone rang again with another enquiry from Sara.

Natasha said: ‘I said don’t you think it is a bit weird?

‘He (James) said no — she said she was coming back.’

Ms Chamberlain said the pair both left the flat and she added: ‘Then I just heard a bang.’

Ms Hodgkinson, 32, of Magpie Walk, Waterlooville, is on trial for assisting an offence after she was alleged to have set up Mr Sibley which she denies.

Video interviews from neighbours Alison McClaren and Gary Bryant who live in the flat above and were stood in their kitchen at the time of the incident, were played to the court.

Ms McClaren said: ‘I said to my partner there is a woman stood downstairs.

‘She looked really uneasy.’

The pair both confirmed they heard a bang.

Mr Bryant said: ‘We heard a bang and then I saw two people running straight across the path.’

Alison added: ‘It was really terrifying.’
