Dillon Newman, 24, of Dunsbury Way, Leigh Park, admitted drink-driving on May 9 in Highlawn Way.

A test showed he had 67 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The legal limit is 35.

Magistrates banned him for 17 months and fined him £120.

He must pay a £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

He also admitted driving without insurance or a licence.

Sean Perry, 35, of Ibis Hotel, Fratton Way, Southsea, admitted stealing power tools from B&Q on March 22.

Magistrates imposed 12-month conditional discharge with £21 surcharge and £29 costs.

Iulian-Dorin Sulu, 31, of London Road, Portsmouth, admitted stealing clothes from Gap worth £313 on July 11 last year.

He admitted failing to turn up to court on August 13 last year.

Magistrates fined him £184 with a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Midul Rupa, 32, of Waterworks Road, Farlington, admitted using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour causing fear of violence at Portsmouth's police investigation centre on July 22 last year.

He admitted damaging a police cell, and failing to turn up at court on August 22 last year.

Magistrates imposed a 12-month community order, 25 days' rehabilitation activities and 40 hours' unpaid work.

He must pay £100 compensation.

He also admitted causing harassment, alarm or distress on August 21 in Cosham last year.

James Deacon, 32, of Furze Lane, Milton, admitted having a large knife in his street on February 15.

Magistrates imposed a 12-week jail term suspended for a year with 10 days' rehabilitation activities.

Deacon must pay a £122 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

The knife must be forfeited and destroyed.

Stuart Johnson, 36, of Westbrook Close, Bosham, admitted speeding at more than 50mph on the M27 eastbound at Southampton on January 6.

He was fined £140 with £85 costs and three points on his licence.

Darren Carpenter, 40, of Tankerton Close, Cosham, admitted assault by beating on February 9 and having cannabis on the same day.

Magistrates imposed a two-year community order with a relationships course and 15 days' rehabilitation activities.

Carpenter also admitted assaulting two police officers in Queen Street, Portsea, in the execution of their duty on the same day.

He must pay £50 compensation to each police officer.

He admitted damaging an oven, fridge freezer, mirror and other household items worth £2,000.
