Human remains were found today in a patch of undergrowth near a supermarket fuel station in Portsmouth,
Police were called to the scene at Tesco’s Northarbour store at about 11.30am following the discovery.
They taped off the exit to the garage and three police cars were at the scene.
Hampshire Constabulary said in a statement: ‘Police were called today due to the finding of what are believed to be human remains, We have commenced an investigation.’
The petrol station remained open, with drivers having to exit through the entrance point.
