Second man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Portsmouth incident

AN opportunist robber who stole a man’s mobile phone is wanted by police.

The 46-year-old victim was driving a Renault Megane along Randolph Road in North End, Portsmouth, with a family member when his mobile phone rang.

He pulled over between Mayfield Road and Thurbern Road and got out to take the call.

When the victim finished the call he put his black iPhone 4S in his pocket, but as he was doing so someone grabbed the phone and pushed him to the ground.

The robber ran away along Randolph Road towards Kirby Road after the incident happened between 6.05pm and 6.40pm on Wednesday.

The offender is believed to be a man, over 6ft tall, who wore a black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
