BURGLARS who broke into a home in an early morning raid are being hunted by police.

The thieves got into the house in Britannia Road, Southsea via an open window.

Once inside they stole a laptop, Playstation Wii console and games as well as a mobile phone.

The burglary happened between 5.40am and 6.40am on February 25 but police have only just released details.

Det Con David Higgins, from Fratton CID, said: ‘There could be a number of potential witnesses to this incident and we are asking those people to come forward.

‘Litter collectors are in the area every morning at around the time the burglary took place, as is a newspaper delivery person. They may have seen the offenders entering the house or leaving the area with the stolen items. I urge anyone who saw anything suspicious to please get in touch.’
