POLICE are hunting for robbers who targeted a man in Southsea.

The 20-year-old was walking alone in Grove Road North, when he was approached from behind by three men who demanded his wallet.

When the victim refused one of the robbers grabbed his wallet, which contained £100 in cash and bank cards, and he was pushed to the ground.

He was left with minor cuts to his lip in the incident which took place between 6pm and 7pm on Friday, January 6. Police have only just released the details.

Detective Constable Jackie Foley said: ‘I’m appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have seen what happened, to come forward.

‘I’d urge anyone with any information to get in touch with us.’

Two of the robbers were between 13 and 15, 5ft 8ins and wore tracksuits.

The third was described as ‘plump’, about 5ft 4-5ins, with short black hair and wearing a black baseball cap, a baby blue Henry Lloyd jacket and black LaCoste tracksuit bottoms. Call police on 101.
