POLICE are appealing for help to find a woman who went missing yesterday afternoon.

Franita Swart was left an address in Orchid Close, Knowle Village, between 12.45pm and 6pm. She has not been seen since.

The 30-year-old is described as white, about 5ft 7ins, of slim build with shoulder length blonde hair, blue eyes and speaks with a South African accent.

She may also be wearing a plaster cast on her left arm after a recent break to her left wrist, but this can be removed.

Inspector Dave Hunter said: ‘We are growing increasingly concerned about Franita’s welfare as she does not know the local area and has no personal belongings with her.

‘We would ask anyone who thinks they may have seen Franita to contact us as soon as possible. If Franita reads this we would ask her to get in touch with us to let us know she is OK.’

Miss Swart is from London and was only staying temporarily in Knowle, but police refused to say why she was in the area.

Anyone with any information about her whereabouts should contact Winchester police station on 101. People from outside Hampshire should contact 0845 0454545.
