DETECTIVES have ruled out any suspicious circumstances after a married couple were found dead in their home.

Kris Rivers, 44, and his wife Alphira, 27, were discovered dead at their property in Whyke Marsh, Chichester.

Police have ruled out that anyone else was involved in their deaths.

Officers were called to the house after being alerted by someone who knew the couple.

Post-mortems were carried out on Monday following the discovery of their bodies at about midday last Thursday.

A spokeswoman for Sussex police said: ‘The husband and wife found dead in a house in Whyke Marsh, Chichester, have been named as Kris Rivers, 44, and Alphira Rivers, 27.

‘The deaths are not being treated as suspicious.’

She added: ‘Post-mortems were held but further toxicology tests are required before causes of death can be established.’
