Jail for Portsmouth prolific shoplifter, 41, who targeted stores 15 times

Petra Tirsolea, 41, of the Ibis Hotel in Fratton Way, Southsea, was jailed at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court on Thursday for 16 weeks.

She admitted five thefts – from Spar in New Road on November 17, from Co-op in High Street, Old Portsmouth, on November 17 and 22, Sainsbury's in Guildhall Walk on January 6, and from Lloyds Pharmacy in Highland Road on November 7.

She admitted stealing from a city Co-op on March 5.

Tirsolea admitted three thefts at One Stop in Portsmouth on April 9, February 15 and 17.

She admitted causing harassment, alarm or distress on April 9.

She admitted six shoplifting thefts at Co-op stores in New Road,Great Southsea Street, Winter Road and Elm Grove between May 31 and June 2.

Tirsolea mainly stole chocolate and meat each time.

She admitted assault by beating on May 29 in Great Southsea Street in Southsea.
