BURGLARS stole cash and jewellery in a break-in.

Thieves forced their way into the home in Old Road, Gosport, through a locked kitchen window while the 27-year-old victim was out.

They fled with jewellery including a gold necklace and two money boxes containing between £70 and £90 in cash.

One of the money boxes belonged to the victim’s son and the other was being used to save money for a holiday, police said.
