SEVERAL items of jewellery have been stolen from a house in Portchester.

A burglar broke into the home in Windmill Grove between 8.40am and 12.45pm on Friday, February 18.

A tool was taken from the garden shed to smash a hole in a back window in the conservatory and the intruder then got into the house through the conservatory door.

A safe was also taken from the property, containing personal documentation and credit and debit cards.

Items taken include jewellery, a marriage certificate, birth certificates, wills and a set of keys.

Police are appealing to anyone who may live or was in the area of Windmill Grove at the time who may have seen or heard anything suspicious.
