BURGLARS targeted a house while the owners were on holiday and stole jewellery.

The burglary is thought to have taken place between 9am on Friday, November 15 and 6pm on Friday, November 22 at a home in East Lodge, off Catisfield Road, Fareham.

Jewellery including a gold ring with opal stone, a gold Victorian-style ring with different-coloured stones, a pair of silver blue Moreno glass earrings, a silver necklace with a gold shell pendant and a pair of green shell earrings were stolen.

Police are appealing for witnesses, in particular anybody who recognises the description of the jewellery.
