HUNDREDS of pounds worth of jewellery has been stolen from a home in Fareham.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the robbery in Portchester Road, where a couple in their 60s live.

It is believed someone broke in through the back door and took jewellery from the main bedroom and trinkets from the spare bedroom.

A Solent Cleaners duvet bag was taken from a wardrobe to carry the stolen items away.

A large amount of men’s and women’s jewellery was stolen including bracelets, rings and necklaces, valued at over £400.

The burglary happened on Wednesday, November 16, between 6.30am and 1.45pm.
