‘Kind and caring’ Hampshire teenager dies after being hit by car

AN 18-YEAR-OLD man from Hampshire has died after he was hit by a car. 

Tributes have been paid to pedestrian Ben Wilson after who died after a collision in Micheldever at the weekend. 

The teen, of Waltham Road, Overton, died after he was involved in a crash with a Volkswagen Polo at 11.10pm on the A33. 

His family have released a statement via police following the incident – which they described as a ‘terrible shock’. 

They said: ‘Our family are struggling to come to terms with our loss.

‘Ben was a kind, caring and funny son, with a zest for life – a much loved brother, grandson and nephew.  He is already dearly missed.

‘This has been a terrible shock for us all, and we thank you all for your love, warmth and well wishes.

‘We do ask that only close friends and family contact us during this difficult time.’
