Knife-wielding robbers steal £50 worth of pizza from delivery man in PortsmouthÂ

A delivery man was robbed of £50 worth of pizzas at knife-point in Portsmouth.Â

The incident happened in Queen Street at just after midnight yesterday (Wednesday, September 19). 

The man was delivering four pizzas, worth about £50, to Benbow Place when he was approached by three men, who came from the direction of Drake House.

Two of the three men were carrying knives and demanded the pizzas.

They ran off back in the direction of Drake House with the pizzas. 

Hampshire Constabulary are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. 

A force spokeswoman said: '˜We'd like to hear from anyone who may have seen the robbery, or saw the men carrying four pizza boxes.

'˜Officers are carrying out additional patrols in Portsmouth this week focused on knife crime, as part of the national Op Sceptre, which is the ongoing fight against knife crime.

'˜Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote 44180353440.' 

A 20 year-old man from Portsmouth has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and a 20-year-old woman from Portsmouth has been arrested on suspicion of conspire to commit robbery.

 Both have been released from custody but remain under investigation.
