Knifeman who was caught with drugs in street is locked up
A MAN has been jailed for 35 days after being caught with a butterfly knife.
Lewis Healy, of Elm Grove, Southsea, was found with the knife on March 30 in Goldsmith Avenue, Southsea.
The 27-year-old pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article. He also admitted possession of cannabis, a class B drug and failing to surrender to custody.
Judge Anthony Callaway at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court, imposed a 28-day sentence for the knife, seven days concurrent for the drugs and seven days consecutive for failing to go to court.
