EFFORTS to retest hundreds of forensic results – feared to have been manipulated at a laboratory – are ‘progressing well’, experts have said.

As previously reported, 458 criminal cases in Hampshire were being reviewed after police started an investigation at Randox Testing Services.

Up to 10,000 cases across the country may have been affected, it has been reported.

A drug-driving conviction was thrown out at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court as Greater Manchester Police continues its investigation into the scandal.

Now the National Police Crime Chiefs body said 70 per cent of the most ‘high priority’ cases had had samples resent to laboratories for testing.

Deputy Chief Constable James Vaughan added they were ‘striving to complete’ all remaining tests.
