A 61-YEAR-OLD man caught behind the wheel while three times over the drink-drive limit has been banned from the roads.

Derek Lindford, of Primrose Way, Locks Heath, admitted committing the offence in Botley Road, Park Gate, on November 30.

A test revealed Lindford’s breath contained 105 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35mg. Lindford was fined £460 and told to pay a £46 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

He was banned from driving for two years by Fareham magistrates.
