A MOTORIST caught driving without insurance has been banned from the roads.

Peter Ayres, 62, of St Michael’s Road, Locks Heath, admitted committing the offence while driving a Vauxhall Vectra in Newgate Lane, Fareham, on October 5.

He was fined £200 and told to pay £15 to crime victims and £35 costs by Fareham magistrates.

He was banned from driving for six months. Six points were added to his driving licence. Ayres admitted driving the vehicle without a licence. No separate penalty was imposed.
