Magistrates ban man from Southsea wine bar after arson threat
A MAN who threatened to burn down a wine bar has been banned from the premises for a year.
Robert Christie, 28, of St Nicholas Avenue, admitted threatening to burn down the Monty’s wine bar in Castle Road, Southsea.
Portsmouth magistrates handed him a community order with 30 days of rehabilitation activities.
They also banned him from the bar for a year. He must pay £50 compensation for the June 14 offence. Christie also admitted provoking fear of violence or provoking violence.
