Magistrates ban pub assailant from contacting woman
A MAN who assaulted a woman in a pub has been banned from contacting her.
Ronnie Morey, 38, of Mayo Close, Buckland, Portsmouth assaulted the woman in the Pelham Arms pub in Chichester Road on July 20. Portsmouth magistrates imposed a six-month conditional discharge.
But they also banned him from contacting the woman for a year. Morey must pay a £20 victim surcharge.
Morey pleaded guilty to assault by beating at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.
