Magistrates detain man who pretended to be someone else

FRAUDSTER Peter Baker has been detained for pretending to be another man.

The 20-year-old, of Durrants Gardens, Rowlands Castle, purported to be Kevin Thornton to get fuel, cash and buy items from iTunes.

Portsmouth magistrates detained him in a young offenders’ institution for 22 weeks as he breached a suspended term.

He committed the fraud between January 11 and March 26. He admitted the offence. Magistrates imposed the previous 18-week suspended sentence for a £2,250 theft.
