THIEF Martin Brown has been told to get help for his drug problem.

He had denied stealing a laptop and jar used to collect tips from The George Hotel in Queen Street, Portsea, Portsmouth.

But the 41-year-old, also from Queen Street, was found guilty by Portsmouth magistrates. He was told to pay £300 compensation.

Brown was also ordered to undergo nine months of drug rehabilitation treatment and put under supervision for a year.
