A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after driving into a garden wall.

Police were called at 7.27pm on Sunday to reports that a vehicle had driven into the garden wall of a house in Fleet End Road, in Warsash.

The vehicle was recovered and the highways authority was called in to make the road safe.

The driver of the vehicle, a Fiat Doblo, fled.

A 21-year-old man from Warsash was later arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and has been bailed until May 4.
