POLICE are investigating after a man was attacked and robbed as he walked along a cycle track.

The 29-year-old victim was walking along the Gosport cycle track near Victoria Street between 10.50pm and 11.10pm on Sunday when he was knocked to the ground by two men.

They then kicked him before taking his wallet and stealing £10 before leaving the wallet behind and running away.

The victim was treated in hospital for cuts and bruises.

The first suspect is white, 6ft, in his mid-20s to mid-30s and has dark-coloured stubble.

He was of average build and wore a light-coloured baseball cap, a cream-coloured jacket which was zipped up and blue jeans.

The second man is white, 6ft 2in, in his mid-20s to mid-30s, of medium build and had quite wide nostrils and large ears.

He had closely shaved head, was clean-shaven and wore a dark-coloured zip-up training style top and dark-coloured tracksuit trousers with three white stripes going down each leg.

Anyone with information about the incident should call Det Con Owen Woods in CID at Fareham police station on 101.
