A MAN caught with an airgun on him in public has been fined.

Elyas Haidari, 29, of no fixed abode, admitted committing the offence and to possessing class B cannabis in Clarence Esplanade, Southsea, on July 25.

He admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress in a ward at St James’s Hospital, Locksway Road, Milton, on August 8.

He was fined £45 and told to pay a £20 victim surcharge by Portsmouth magistrates.
