AN attacker has been fined.

Mark Burnett, from Launceston Road, Gosport, pleaded guilty to a charge of assaulting a man by beating him in Gosport.

The 29-year-old was fined £125.

Burnett was ordered to pay £15 to a fund for crime victims by Fareham magistrates.

He must also pay £55 in court costs.

No order for compensation was made.
