Man, 36, avoids prison for PC and PCSO assaults

A MAN has been spared jail after assaulting a PC and a PCSO.

Barry Voller was charged with assaulting PC Andrea Mallett with intent to resist or prevent apprehension and assaulting a PCSO in the execution of her duty on March 23.

The 36-year-old, of Green Lane, Gosport, pleaded guilty at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court to the offences in Grove Road.

He was handed a four-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months.

Voller must pay £350 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge.
