Man, 36, dies following crash on main county road

A MAN died following a crash between a minibus and lorry.

The incident happened on the A34 southbound, just south of Sutton Scotney services, at about 4.40am yesterday.

Lane closures of 10 hours caused long delays for drivers all day in the area.

The victim, 36, who was travelling in a white Ford Transit, was pronounced dead at the scene. Three passengers were injured.

A 19-year-old man from Durham has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in custody at this time. Call police on 101, quoting 44180075034.
