A MAN accused of attacking a teenager in Gosport has appeared in court.

Gary Nash, 21, is accused of robbery and possessing an offensive weapon, namely a sock containing a weighted ball, relating to the incident in Parham Road on August 28.

He is also accused of escaping custody at Fareham police station and assaulting a civilian police worker on September 3.

Nash, of no fixed abode, gave no indication of plea when he appeared by videolink at Portsmouth Crown Court and was remanded to reappear on November 25.
