Man accused of sexual assault hunted by police for breaking bail conditions

A MAN due to face trial for an alleged sexual assault is being hunted by police.

Kieran Corless, 18, of Lee-on-the-Solent, breached his court bail conditions by leaving his home last Thursday, Hampshire police said.

The force said he has not been seen since despite being due for trial at Portsmouth Crown Court on April 25.

He is charged with sexual assault, which he denies.

Detective Sergeant Broadribb said: ‘Kieran was released by the court with strict bail conditions.

‘He has breached these conditions and therefore needs to be detained in order that he can stand trial.

‘If you see Kieran or know where he is, please contact police as soon as possible.’

A force spokeswoman added: ‘We believe that Kieran is in the Gosport area following two possible sightings earlier this week.’
