A MAN was caught in possession of cannabis.

Samuel Wilkie, from Battenburg Avenue, North End, Portsmouth, pleaded guilty to having the class B drug on him in Southsea.

The 20-year-old was given a 12-month conditional discharge.

He was told to pay £85 in court costs by Portsmouth magistrates.

An order was made for the cannabis to be forfeited and destroyed.
