A MAN who admitted possessing cocaine has been fined.

Matthew Ayres pleaded guilty to having the class A drug on him in Fareham.

Ayres, of St Annes Grove, Fareham, was fined £400 at Fareham Magistrates’ Court.

The 29-year-old was also ordered to pay £40 to a fund for victims of crime and £85 in court costs.

Magistrates also made an order for the cocaine seized to be forfeited and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
