Man, 23, jailed for three years for dealing class A drugs in Portsmouth

A MAN caught in possession of a knife in public has been spared jail.

Marcus Morey, 20, of All Saints’ Street, Portsmouth, admitted having the lockknife on him in Upper Arundel Street, Portsmouth.

He also pleaded guilty to possessing class B cannabis in the same street.

Morey was sentenced to three months in jail, suspended for six months.

He was told to pay £80 to a fund for victims of crime.

Morey was given a curfew ordering him not leave his home from 7pm to 7am for three months. The drugs and knife are to be destroyed.
