A MAN has admitted possessing heroin.

William Evans pleaded guilty to having the class A drug on him at his home in Stubbington Avenue, North End, Portsmouth, on November 12.

Evans was given a six-month conditional discharge by Portsmouth magistrates.

The 57-year-old was also ordered to pay £25 in court costs.

An order was made for the heroin to be forfeited and destroyed under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
